Cuba Cabbal, Rapsterdam video out now
We’re back with new productions and lots of news! After the singles that saw Sab Sista and Giorno Giovanna (13 Bastardi) return to the scene, we are happy to propose a collaboration with Cuba Cabbal.
The artist, an old schooler born in ’72 in Pescara, is one of the most representative MCs of the underground hip hop scene in Italy and has made social denunciation and the unmasking of the dark plots of power the backbone of his artistic career.
After his latest album Zingari e Marinai together with DJ West released in 2023, he returns to the scene with a song produced by Doc Ketamer, our CEO, called Rapsterdam.
With this song Cabbal undermines the falsehoods and hypocrisies of this world by imagining a utopian city of hip hop where everyone, regardless of their origins, speaks only one language and lives with the same identical values.
By symbolically and not uniting the word Rap to the word Amsterdam, also highlighted by the cover of the song, Cabbal gives life to a stylistically hard core piece in which the rhymes and concepts evolve outside the rules of the commodification of music.
The piece favors freedom from prejudice, freedom from fashions and the search for authenticity typical of the origins.
Available in the best digital stores, the song represents an excellent start to the season for us.
