Giorno Giovanna (Callister 13 Bastardi) Officially Says Goodbye to Rap
Giorno Giovanna, a well-known MC and rapper from Naples, founder of L’Ordine del Pariamento, member of 13 Bastardi and founder of Fluxer since 2000, today releases a song in collaboration with DNA, a new Neapolitan collective born from the union of Giorno Giovanna, Dope One, Dekasettimo and Fugo who recently released their first official album DNA.
The single UNA anticipates the official album scheduled for December 2024 and formalizes Giorno Giovanna’s farewell to Rap who, after more than 30 years, has decided to “hang the microphone” on the wall and retire to private life.
The song UNA, released by KML is accompanied by a video shot in Naples and directed by Matteo Marchese (BlackDiamond Agency).
The song, produced by Doc Ketamer, producer and CEO of KML, boasts a classic boom-bap and golden age soundscape. Despite the hardcore line in full DNA style, the rappers talk about love through personal experiences and situations.
Passion, disappointments, disillusionments, sarcasm, rebirth, roots, family, romance. These concepts are summarized in the cover through the symbolism of the Moon and the Tree of Life. The song flows through different rhymes and styles giving the listener the opportunity to empathize with each of them.
UNA, available on the radio and in digital stores, is a captivating song with unexpected twists. All four rappers describe a different picture of love and women, helping to create a powerful and Hip Hop piece.
The album La seconda venuta di Callister A.D. which will be released for KML will close the circle for the Neapolitan MC and will contain the only collaboration with DNA to underline the transition from the old to the new school.
