Mr Melt, the third card is Justice
Mr Melt, a Roman rapper who has been active in Amsterdam for years now, plays his cards alongside KML.
After the publication of The Hanged Man in 2021 and Death in 2022, the saga continues with the publication of Justice. The reference to tarot cards is evident and, in the case of the new album, the underlying theme is explained by the artist himself:
“The meaning of this card has to do with being honest and treating everyone right. Imagine a judge in a courtroom making sure things are right and true. When this card appears, it’s as if your actions are placed on a scale. If you have been good and just, good things will come to you.”
The album has no shortage of punchlines, contents linked to money, to youthful discomfort, to the desire for revenge. Each song has a different mood that is accompanied by a classic and typically boom bap soundscape also made up of fresher, chill and lo-fi moments.
Justice‘s producers include GGM, J.O.D., DJ Fastcut, Doc Ketamer and Skinny Pit. Among the collaborations, those with Lord Madness, Funky Nano, the Dutch artist McGyver, Mad G with whom the release of a joint album is planned and Oyoshe who will be part of the opening acts planned for on February 9 on the Akhnaton stage.
Justice, available in the best digital stores, is a hardcore and cheeky record that represents the typical rap made in Rome thanks to its forced attitude and full of references to “realness”.
The cover, designed by Canadian designer Harvey Dentist, completes the picture of the album, which can be appreciated by the younger audience, as well as by an audience more inclined towards sophistication and underground content.

Mr Melt and Oyoshe, Just Ice Videoclip
Just Ice is a classic hip hop banger where the central theme is Hip Hop. The video, directed by Project Fokschaap, was shot in Amsterdam. Along the lines of a thriller, two robbers played by Mr Melt and Oyoshe are preparing a big heist against the local boss Doc Ketamer who is hiding a large quantity of diamonds in his hotel in Amsterdam. The song, direct and exciting, has a typically classic sound with Mediterranean sounds and an exotic and Arabic aftertaste fused with east coast atmospheres that can be appreciated by rap enthusiasts but also by a more heterogeneous audience.
