Oyoshe and Crimeapple – Chance
Oyoshe returns alongside KML a few years after the single Musica Sacra in collaboration with Rome Streetz of the Griselda Records roster and after the release of his latest official album A.M.E.N.
The Neapolitan rapper and producer born in 1991 proposes together with the Italian-Dutch label a song in collaboration with Crimeapple, a well-known rapper from New Jersey and of Colombian origins currently involved in projects with Dj Muggs, Apollo Brown and known for having made collaborations with artists of the caliber of Conway The Machine, Lil Supa and many others.
Chance, produced by Doc Ketamer with scratches by Dj Snifta, boasts a typical New York underground style soundscape with influences similar to those proposed by Griselda Records, which have always been very dear to KML.
In the song, the artists describe the story of a difficult path due to the few opportunities that certain territories can offer. The chances they tell and from which the concept and title of the entire project start, derive from their own willpower developed through street and life experiences.
Oyoshe, who has always been active in social work, explains: “The phrase “uscire fuori dal Barrio” fully reflects the concept of “emerging from a difficult situation”. When you then realize that many people around you have had the same problem and the same strength … it comes naturally to unite and meet in other parts of the world to send a message of hope. The video clip also represents this. I from Naples and Crimeapple from the States found ourselves together in the KML studios to express the same discomfort and the same desire to transmit positivity to others.”
Chance, available in all digital stores and accompanied by a video directed by Matteo Marchese (Black Diamond Agency), is a song that tells stories, experiences and that wants to become a manifesto of inner strength and will.
The single was recorded at Hal5 Studio in Amsterdam with mixing and mastering by Drew Trax at Drew Trax’s studio.
